Joy and Wade Tipton, owners of Gallery Portraits, are committed to serving you with the highest degree of professional quality, service, and courtesy. Wade and Joy have been members of Professional Photographers of America, Inc. (PPA) since 1983. Wade is a PPA Certified Professional Photographer and holds both the Master of Photography and Craftsman Degrees from PPA. Both attend numerous local, state, and national conventions, seminars, and workshops to continually sharpen their skills and keep abreast of current and forthcoming trends in the industry. As a photographic designer, J. Wade Tipton is committed to serving you with the highest degree of professional quality, service, and courtesy.

J. Wade Tipton holds a BS degree in business management from Mississippi State University and Fellowship Degrees from the Professional Photographers Association of Missouri (PPMO), Professional Photographers of the Ozarks (PPO)and the The Tennessee Certified Degreee from The Tennessee Professional Photogarphers Association (TPPA).

Wade is a past president of PPO and Smoky Mountain Professional Photographers (SMPP). He served as a board member of the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association (TPPA) in 1999-2000. In addition, Wade is a member of International Christian Photographers, The National Association of Photoshop Professionals and in 1998, 2003 & 2009 was named a Tennessee Professional Photographers Association Top Ten Photographer.

Joy holds a degree in retail floristry from Mississippi State University with a minor in accounting and has worked in florists from Jackson, Ms to St. Louis, MO. She also has worked in the interior decorating business for several years in West Tennessee. Needless to say, when our clients need help in placing their framed images in their homes, Joy is right there to help!

Joy, being from the deep south, adds a warm sense of hospitality and charm to Gallery Portraits. This is especially evident when she is assisting our clients.

Joy feels that it is important that both she and Wade attend numerous local, state and national conventions, seminars, and workshops to continually sharpen their skills and keep abreast of current and forthcoming trends in the industry.

Joy and Wade attribute the success of Gallery Portraits to the support of each other and their son, Philip along with the trust of their clients and most importantly the blessings of God!!! Wade, Joy & Philip give all the glory to God!!!.

Philip is the twenty-three year old son of Joy and Wade. Philip is a 2009 Summa Cum Laude graduate of University of Tennessee. Currently Philip is on a fellowship with the National Institutes of Health as a Post Baccalaureate doing research in neurology. To relax Philip enjoys playing his saxophone and writing & arranging music.
